Vintage French Zinc Bath

A large and characterful vintage zinc bath of oval form, raised on four iron stave feet. Measuring 147cm in length, 42cm in depth and 47cm in height, this is a generously proportioned piece, well suited to use as a garden planter or as a striking decorative object.

The interior retains its original speckled grey zinc finish in good condition, while the exterior bears a later application of red-pink paint, now pleasingly distressed and worn to reveal the zinc beneath, with attractive mineral deposits across the surface. 

The whole presenting with an honest and unselfconscious patina of age and use.
