Retail and Trade Clients


1. PORTRAYAL OF PRODUCTS

Every effort has been made to accurately portray and describe our items; however, slight variations may occur. All quoted measurements are approximate, and the reproduction of colours is as accurate as photographic and publishing processes allow. Please note that colour variations may arise depending on the calibration and settings of individual screens. If needed, additional images can be provided upon request. Due to the nature of the goods sold in our store, our antique and 20th-century items come with age and patina, reflecting their unique character.


2. SALES

Prices listed on our website are final and are subject to the Margin Scheme unless stated otherwise. This means the displayed price includes no VAT. Prices are subject to change at our discretion.


3. AVAILABILITY

All items are subject to availability. If an item you have ordered is no longer available, we will inform you as soon as possible. While we strive to keep the website updated, occasional discrepancies may occur. For made-to-order items, we provide estimated lead times and will endeavor to meet these timelines. However, unforeseen delays may occur, and we will keep you informed of your order's progress.


4. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

We can arrange international delivery upon request, though we also encourage clients to make their own arrangements with shipping companies. To assist with this, provide potential shippers with a photo, dimensions of your item, the collection address, and your delivery address. Below are some shippers we regularly work with:


5. RETURNS & EXCHANGES

If you are unhappy with a purchase, please contact us within 14 days of the purchase date, quoting your invoice number. Provided the item is in saleable condition, we will offer a refund, exchange, or credit toward a future purchase. Bespoke pieces can only be returned or exchanged if they are faulty. Faults must be reported to Litten Tree Antiques within 48 hours of delivery or collection.

For larger items or purchases made via credit or debit card, a 10% administration fee will be deducted from your refund. Return delivery fees are the client’s responsibility.


6. SUITABILITY OF GOODS

While Litten Tree Antiques and our restorers make every effort to ensure your goods arrive in the best condition, customers are required to inspect items upon delivery or collection. It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm the goods meet their expectations and requirements upon receipt.

Bespoke pieces are handmade to order, and dimensions may vary slightly. If you require precise measurements due to spatial constraints, please inform us when placing your order.

Litten Tree Antiques is not liable if an item does not fit or is unsuitable for the intended space. If you are unsure about access or spatial constraints (e.g., whether an item will fit through doorways or staircases), we can connect you with removal experts for professional advice. Please discuss any concerns at the time of order.


7. CONFIRMATION OF BESPOKE ORDERS

Full payment is required for bespoke orders before production begins. Delayed payment will affect the delivery timeline. Lead times for upholstered, manufactured, or painted items will be communicated at the quotation stage but may be subject to change. We will keep you updated regularly. Upholstered items cannot begin production until the required fabric is received by our upholsterer.


8. FIRE RETARDANCY

All upholstered pieces intended for domestic use are made with appropriately treated and flameproofed internal fillings to comply with fire regulations. If you provide your own fabrics, consult your supplier for fire retardancy information.


9. DELIVERY & STORAGE

We provide delivery, packing, and international shipping quotes upon confirmation of the delivery address. Alternatively, you may arrange your own shipping. Litten Tree Antiques is not responsible for items damaged in transit; ensure your shipping provider includes adequate insurance coverage.

We request that purchased items be collected promptly due to limited showroom space. Items not collected within 14 days will incur storage fees as follows:

  • Small items: £20 per week (e.g., table lamps, artwork, textiles, lampshades)
  • Medium items: £50 per week (e.g., occasional tables, side chairs, bar stools)
  • Large items: £75 per week (e.g., dining tables, cupboards, wardrobes, sofas)

Ensure that your space can accommodate larger furniture. Litten Tree Antiques is not responsible if purchased items cannot be placed as intended due to access issues.


10. LIABILITY

Litten Tree Antiques’ liability for any fault or defect in quality is limited to an amount not exceeding the purchase price of the goods supplied.


11. ADVICE & GUARANTEES

Advice provided by Litten Tree Antiques, whether in person, by telephone, or online, is given in good faith to assist customers in achieving the best results. However, no guarantees are made regarding the suitability or longevity of the items.


12. FAULTY OR DAMAGED GOODS

Claims for faulty or damaged goods must be made within 48 hours of delivery or collection, accompanied by photographic evidence. Exceptional circumstances requiring a longer claim period must be agreed upon before payment of the invoice.

In such cases, Litten Tree Antiques will cover delivery and collection costs and will offer an exchange or full refund.


13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & MARKETING

All intellectual property related to Litten Tree Antiques’ processes and deliverables remains our exclusive property unless expressly assigned in writing.

Unless otherwise requested at the quotation stage, we reserve the right to use images of our products for marketing purposes.


14. TRADE CLIENTS

We welcome trade clients. To request a trade account, email us at elizabeth@littentreeantiques.com with your company name, business address, website, company registration number (if applicable), and VAT number (if applicable). Upon approval, you will receive trade access to our products.


15. RESERVING PIECES & TRYING BEFORE YOU BUY

Trade clients may reserve items for up to 48 hours unless otherwise agreed. Please ensure all measurements and client approvals are confirmed before requesting an invoice.

We are happy to loan pieces for clients to try in situ before purchase. Delivery and return costs are the client’s responsibility. Items on loan remain the client’s responsibility until returned in saleable condition to Litten Tree Antiques.
