A French Louis XVI mahogany commode with its original-style white Carrara marble top, late 18th or early 19th century. Three long drawers in richly figured flame mahogany, each framed in brass, with hexagonal rosette stirrup handles. The fluted corner columns, reeded brass capitals and brass-collared toupie feet give it a crisp neoclassical elegance. A beautiful piece for a bedroom, hallway or drawing room.
