A decorative wood and composition picture frame in the French Rococo taste, with shaped breakfront corners and continuous scrolling foliate and strapwork carving to each side. Finished in a soft dove-grey paint, worn back to reveal warm gilt/ochre tones beneath, giving a lovely aged, atmospheric patina. The sight edge has a clean, contrasting off-white inner moulding.
