Georgian Oak Drop-Leaf Dining Table

An oak drop-leaf dining table, English, mid-late 18th century, of oval form with twin hinged leaves supported on gateleg-action swing supports. Standing on turned and slightly tapering legs terminating in pad feet, the top with good colour and grain to the solid oak boards. A practical and honest country piece, retaining an old worn surface with visible construction and wear consistent with age.

Extends to seat six, and folds down flat against a wall when leaves are dropped.
