




Early 19th Century Mahogany Bar-Back Chair
A Regency to early Victorian mahogany bar-back carver armchair, c. 1830-1840, English. It has a broad curved top rail, a rounded mid rail, scrolled open arms on C-scroll supports, sabre back legs and turned tapering front legs. The brown leather seat is heavily worn, with loss at the front right corner exposing hessian and horsehair. The frame is sound, with a dry, rubbed, warm red-brown surface.
