Georgian Serpentine Dressing Table Mirror
An attractive mahogany swing mirror dating from the late 18th / early 19th century. It is a large size and has an elegant serpentine shaped base with a large drawer and brass lions head handles. The shield shaped mirror is supported by square uprights with brass finials and brass knobs for tightening the angle of the mirror. The mahogany has a lovely rich patina and the whole piece is decorated with chequerboard strung borders.
It is in good original condition. There are some signs of age and use, some light marks and knocks and a couple of old repairs but no major damages or anything detrimental. There are some patches of foxing and age spots on the glass but overall it displays beautifully.
