Antique Leather and Brass Studded Camphor Wood Trunk

A handsome antique trunk, the camphor wood carcass covered in dark leather and decorated with rows of brass studs, including a shaped central cartouche to the lid. Brass edging, a ring handle to the front and original hinges and lock plate. The interior is lined in the bare camphor wood, with a lovely figured grain and a lid stay. Rich, worn patina throughout. Ideal as a coffee table, blanket chest or at the foot of a bed.
