Antique Anglo-Indian occasional table

Antique Anglo-Indian occasional table, in the Hoshiarpur manner, with an octagonal top intricately inlaid in bone and mother-of-pearl. A central star medallion is surrounded by floral roundels and scrolling foliate vines, framed by ebonised and stringing borders and a diamond-pattern outer band. The sides are inlaid with small floral motifs, and the table stands on eight legs joined by cusped Moorish arches and stretchers. The legs are hinged, allowing the table to fold flat. Constructed in a warm, mellow hardwood, with a lovely aged patina. Some light wear and small losses to the inlay consistent with age.
