Anglo-Indian Hoshiarpur Inlaid Octagonal Occasional Table

An octagonal hardwood table with fine bone and mother-of-pearl inlay. The top has a central floral medallion, eight stringing swags filled with leaf sprays, and a quatrefoil border. The legs are cusped Mughal-style arches in dotted inlay, and the folding sides with brass hinges suggest a portable design. Late 19th to early 20th century, with age-related inlay losses and a light water mark on the top.
