19th Century French Louis XV-Style Bleached Oak Canapé

An antique French canapé in the Louis XV style, dating to the 19th century, in bleached/limed oak. The serpentine top rail sits above an open back with vertical splats, flanked by scrolled arm supports on shaped supports, all raised on cabriole legs to front and rear. Currently upholstered in hessian in preparation for final fabric, offering a ready opportunity to dress to taste. Sound frame with attractive worn patina to the bleached finish, consistent with age.
